Creating a website isn't difficult. There are hundreds of tools that will
practically do it for you, but - and this is the expensive bit - getting a professional-standard
site requires a lot more work. Login systems, database management, back-ends,
and a vast number of other elements are needed to complete the puzzle. WEBSmith
fills this gap.
Having designed a website that you're happy with, you can transfer it into
WEBSmith, and then drag and drop extra components into place. (You can also
design a full site in WEBSmith, but it's not ideal for this.) These additions
can be used for automatic news updates, or for password-protecting areas of
your site that you want to keep confidential.

This can be set up automatically, although you do
need to ensure that your web host has support for CGI scripts. If you're using
a free service, such as AOL or Geocities, it probably doesn't - but most dedicated
companies will be able to flip the necessary switches.
Once this is done, it takes just a few minutes to get everything on your
site up and running, making this software the ideal way to move beyond straight
HTML and get the most from your web age.
Overkill for personal sites, but the most cost-effective way of upgrading
your site without paying for a full redesign.
